Georgina Santacroce is a New York State licensed Hair Artist, born in Brooklyn, but raised in Staten Island. She began her hair journey at only 12 years old. She learned how to color her mother’s hair in the 7th grade from her mother, who was also a hairstylist. Her mother would teach her how to color, cut, and style hair in their Staten Island home.
A “why” is always the most important factor in decisions Georgina makes - including her career. She always wanted to be like her mom growing up, so following in her footsteps was the best way she could think to honor her. With the experience of being surrounded by a hair stylist growing up and her natural talent for cosmetology, the idea of getting her license and becoming a Hair Artist herself just seemed like the perfect “why” to take this path.
She knew going into it that the world of cosmetology wasn’t going to be easy. She expected all of the rumors to be true, but it didn’t matter to her. Bringing her clients joy and making them feel like the most beautiful versions of themselves would make every challenge worth it. At 18, she received her NY State cosmetology license and began her dream career path.
Georgina was told by those who did not appreciate her path that the life of a hairstylist was never going to be viable. They would tell her that she would never make it farther than Staten Island because that’s all other people they saw would do. They would be entirely wrong.
At only 20 years old, Georgina has proved the naysayers wrong. At the start of her career, she has already worked on two large-scale productions.
She was the Key Hair Artist on the set of the Narcissus Beauty 2023 Creation Collection Anniversary Campaign. She single handedly styled and retouched 13 models’ hair before they entered the set for photos and videos. Her work can be found on her portfolio, as well as Narcissus Beauty’s website.
She is also credited as a Hair Artist on the SAG-AFTRA short film The Mealybug. She was tasked with assisting Key Makeup & Hair Artist Ashley Cotto in getting actors’ hair camera ready while Ashley tackled makeup. She worked with actors like Mallory Bechtel, Anthony Notarile, and Renee Victor on set.
She found her home at the Staten Island salon Positivity Hair Studio in February 2023. She is currently a stylist at the salon and can be booked for colors, cuts, blowouts and styling on their website or by clicking on the In-Studio Pricing tab on her website.
